At least Kerry was out where shooting was goiing on and not hanging out
at the Officiers Club in Texas

Kerry asked for Swift boat duty because at the time they were not doing patrol
missions. After he was assigned their role changed. It was then he wanted out
of Swift boat duty. These are facts stated by the Swift boat commander.
