I checked the impeller today. It is fine.

Time to pull some hoses and see if I can find the problem.

Hope you're lucky. I just had to get my water pump rebuilt to solve one of
those mysterious overheating problems. Knew it wasn't the impeller, cause
it
was new in June, and knew it wasn't the exhaust elbow because that was
replaced from the escrow when I bought the boat.
