Basskisser,
When I heard that information about Kerry, it did not sound correct to
me,
but I have not been able to find the correct information about Kerry's
attendance at intelligence committee meetings and the minutes at the
meeting. Did you actually find some info to disprove the statements
that
are being made?
It's just common knowledge. I thought that anybody who thought they
knew anything about the United States congress, knew that, when
congressmen are on committees, that much of that time is spent in
private session, John Smith. Also, you probably don't know this
either, but when congress is in session, the congressmen come and go,
they may pop in for an hour, then go to a private meeting, etc. Not
knowing that, you also probably don't know that, unless they actually
speak, there attendence won't be in the meeting minutes.
Basskisser,
I did know that there are many private sessions,
I did not know that those present at a meeting were not noted in the
minutes. According to Robert Rules the minutes should reflect those
committee members who are in attendance.
When did Congress stop using Robert Rules?
If their attendance at meetings were not noted, why did the current chair of
the Intelligence Committee say he would release the information if Kerry
would authorize the committee to do so?
