Default One of those weeks.

Week starts on Sunday. A jewler friend needs 2500 little jewelry cleaning
kits re-badged to a private label - yesterday. So about 9 of us, me, wife,
kids , him , his kids.... etc. hole up in a little room in an old mill
building create an assembly line and by Monday PM we have 160 cases of
relabled product ready on the pallats ready to ship. He pays us
generously - as only a jewler with an emergency can. grin

Now sometime Sunday... a feller calls me on the cell phone. He got my name
from a friend of a friend. He says he has a 90hp Merc that the muffs fell of
and he didn't notice - it seized. I tell him I'm tied up for a couple days,
give him directions, and tell him to drop the boat off. No problem - I can
have it done by the end of the week. (after all - I have *every* inline 6
part on hand - twice over)

Now, I'm thinking it's a 1980's 90hp inline six. I mean, *why* would anyone
call *me* with a 1993 90hp inline THREE looper? I get home and see it.
sigh

A new Shop manual and 20 digital pictures of wire and hose routing
later........ I get it apart. The thing overheated SO bad that the bottom
piston married the sleeve and started to extract it from the bore. Great not
only isn't it a 6 but it's FUBAR.

I call him to tell him it's not pretty and explain options. He tells me
it's a borrowed boat - the owner is in Bermuda - and it's GOT to get fixed
at any cost - even a new powerhead from Mercury.

Tomorrow I go to the machine shop and see if they can't re-sleeve this
mess..... sigh
