Yes! Absolutely! But they are NOT Human Beings.

.... where do think most stem cells used in research come from?

Currently, thanks to the village idiot and his imaginary friend, from some
22 cultures he chose for reasons no intellegent person can understand. That
is too few for reasonable genetic diversity and it effectively prevents the
research needed to develop cures for our most debilitating diseases.
Meanwhile, MDs are fertilizing 1000s of eggs in vitro so infertile couples
can have kids - a common procedure blessed by most cults. Once fertilized,
ONE of these "origins of life" is implanted and once ONE "takes" the rest
get flushed down a drain!! Why? Because "The Voices" told some idiot heard
said that using them to save lives is against their cult's beliefs.

Where is the source of the best stem cells?

From your own umbilical cord. They match your DNA so cells and organs grown
from them wouldn't be rejected. But you neglected to save those cells and
so did everybody else. So the next best way to get them is to inject your
DNA into an ova to get stem cells identical to those in your own body -
cells that can be used to repair YOU. But 'the voices' Bush obeys say YOU
must suffer horrible disease and die rather repair yourself .....

For example, I have diabetes. It costs $$$ to control and will eventually
kill me. The technology exists to take a few of my skin cells, extract my
DNA, inject it into an ova, and when enough stem cells develop, inject them
into my pancreas to CURE my diabetes. But that simple, safe procedure is not
FDA approved and scientists cannot conduct the studies needed to get it
approved because "the voices" told a village idiot that a lump of stem cells
is the same as a human being.

The First Amendment forbids the government to establish any religion, but GW
Bush is assuring our early deaths by imposing his idiotic religious notions
on medical researchers. That's why I'd rather write in Jessie Jackson, or
you, than vote Republican again.
