Where did you come up with that silliness? If it were true, we would never
have fought ANY war because no war could have been funded. After all, there
have always been "conscientious objectors" who oppose war for religious
reasons. Did we fight those wars using private donations? No! We let
objectors serve on the front lines as corpmen but they still got drafted and
still went to war and sure as hell had to pay taxes - most of which went to
support activities their religion forbid. Those who refused to pay, or
witheld a portion of their taxes, arguing that they shouldn't have to pay
for something their religion forbid went to jail! And that's where Bush
otta be right now.
