As a follow up to your earlier question.... we are currently in a

position to
test the statement that, "Southport is a small drinking town with a

fishing
problem."

Sounds like I need to get down there to support the cause. Wouldn't want
you guys to have ALL the fun.

Since Alex came through, you can't buy a nibble. The Lady Angler's

Tournament
caught VERY little.. in fact, not enough to fill the board. My next door
neighbor, who usually brings home more than her share of the catch,

responded to
my, "Whadja get?" with, A citation shrimp, 2 sand dollars, and a 2 pound
Spanish.... obviously, none of that hit the board... or the deck....

Oh well.... for August things are weird, anyway... 65 degree air and 85

degree
water..... Now in September when we reverse those figures... fishing

should be
better....

Provision is cooking..... Mr. P's [whatever the new name] is still under
construction.... there's a new Italian restaurant.....

Now you have my attn.

FishTales' chef has hit
his stride, Karaoke is still strong at LBP,

I caught some of that on my last trip. Interesting.

there's a new gourmet grocery on the
island, and, well, life is good.......

Wow,

I saw Kings skyrocketing right off the beach at Surf City on Sunday.

Last year the bad fishing was blamed on Isabel (I think). What is it
about bad weather that causes fish to freak?

When 'ya coming?

If Im a good boy all week,
maybe next weekend. I've just finished building a house (sold already)
and I have a few loose ends to take care of. The wife is getting over
gall bladder surgury. I might be able to slide down Sat. eve for a
early Sunday morning trek on the Mako.

sigh Life got busy this year.
