Ron Reagan on Bush...a good read.
"Or angry that his country is being hijacked." Just what does this phrase
mean and who is allowed to use it?
This is America. Anybody is allowed to use that phrase. Many people do.
When something is hijacked, it is commandeered for the benefit of a very small
group (the hijackers) with utter disregard and possible peril to all other
concerned parties. "We are gathered here today, the 'haves' and the "have
mores'. Some people call us the 'elite'. I call you my base" (GWB at
Republican Fund Raiser).
Young Ron Reagan is looking for an issue which will vault him into the
national political landscape and he is using his fathers death to do it.
Ron has refused to become involved in politics for many years. I don't believe
he has any inclination to become involved now.
Read the article, Bert, before you comment on it. Please. If you don't want to
read it, fine, but don't presume to dismiss it as a the wailing of an angry kid
simply because you know it will not agree with your personal perspectives.
