Just received an email from the guys who have my boats in charter.
They are doing a booming business with the Olympics coming up and are
charging premium rates on the boats which are doing little sailing and
being used as floating hotel rooms.

Sounds similar to the charter boats in the BVI for the millennium
celebration in Dec. '99. Some charter companies were charging as much as
$30K per week (US) for the boats, and all of them were rented. We heard one
story of a 44' Beneteau with 20 people on board, sleeping anywhere they
could. Not a pretty picture, but lucrative.
