The only way that it could be "foisted" upon anyone is if you tied them up
in a chair or put them in a cage with their hands taped to thier side so
they couldn't cover their ears. In an open discussion group, having an
opinion that is different than someone else's is not "foisting"...and by the
same token, a similar claim could be made by the opposite camp that they are
being "foisted" upon to accept something they do not believe....what's good
for the goose is good for the gander, ya know.
