the wind was ''crazed''?????
It was NUTS. 12 knots near city Island only up to 17 near Execution
Rocks, then, passing Stepping Stone, gusts to 30 knots and more as we
approached the Throgsneck.
Our first race of the season (and my first yacht race) was in winds of 29-45
knots, and most of the crew were scratch. We took line honours, and missed
1st by 40sec on handicap. Full main, no2 jib, and the spinnaker on the first
downwind leg.
