As per my previous post questioning my temperature gauge initally reading 150 on

system and my web search on marine water cooling systems do not describe a thermostat
in a raw water system. I'm thinking that I had a possible clog and by running the boat
a few times I forced it out and that 100 is normal??

100 degrees is way too cool and will lead to excessive engine wear. A
raw water system for sal****er usage is normally set up with a 145
degree thermostat and that's about where your operating temperature
should be. If you boat exclusively in fresh water, a 160 to 170
degree thermostat is normally recommended.
