grocery shop different;y than we do... we buy a week or two's worth at a
time and don't go to the store every day...Don't Europeans buy food almost
every day?

The older generation in Spain and France still do their shopping daily.
However, my generation seems to do a weekly trip to the superstore.

You may *think* that your fridge is small, however, by international
standards it is enormous.
