Not around me. I've landed a few while fishing for speckled trout and
always release them. I figure they have just as much right if not more
right to the fish I'm after.

That crap might go over in OZ land before they took your guns away
but not here. You dont mess with seagulls either. I had a dockhand
hauled away to jail for injuring a seagull, he thought it was funny to
start feeding them then to throw rocks at them, he hit one and broke
its wing. Federal offence-citizens arrest end of story.
