Yes I did ask a question. To repeat: What does "Ships didn't have mobile
radio compasses, so they weren't aligned each time they were used" refer
to (it's your statement)....care to answer?

As to your other statement .... RDF's signals could be taken either
using magnetic or gyro or fluxgate compasses, and the accuracy was
dependent on a number of factors, but with any of the three, could well
fall into the ranges stated.
New question: How the hell did you think anyone plotted an RDF bearing
if they didn't "align" it with the compass?

otn ... you will be plonked, but I'll hold to see if you can make any
reasonable response.
