Default Pregnant women suffer seasickness more easily

"Some women, when pregnant, must refrain from time on the water due to
severe bouts of nausea. Not only is this recommended for the comfort of =
the
lady, it is imperative for the safety of the fetus. It has been found =
that
the fetus can suffer from motion sickness also. This puts baby at =
greater
risk."

Handbook of Maritime Medicine, 1988, p 421, Selchow and Righter =
Publishers

What a pile of bunk. Seasickness is most often an ocular/aural =
occurrence. The movement of a boat would be no more stressful to a baby =
in utero than any other movement that the mother performs. As far as =
the nausea goes, unless the person wretches uncontrollable and =
incessantly, it would not be harmful to the pregnancy. I'd like to see =
the studies this information came from.
