"McCain Apologizes to Clowns for Comparison to Rush

Sen. John McCain, RINO-Ariz., today withdrew his comparison of talk
radio star Rush Limbaugh to a circus clown - by apologizing to clowns.

"I apologize to circus clowns all over America," McCain told Fox News
Channel's Neil Cavuto. He specifically mentioned Bozo and Chuckles.

McCain said his previous comment sparked angry phone calls to his
office from circus clowns nationwide.

You don't like him, Cavuto pressed. The senator insisted he didn't
dislike Limbaugh and viewed him as a skilled entertainer.

If he met Limbaugh, he told Cavuto, he'd say to the radio star's face
that he viewed him "not as a circus clown but like a circus clown."
Then he immediately withdrew that comparison yet again, lest big-top
professionals take offense."
