If you have owned a boat before, then you probably know what you want.

If you are about to buy your first proper boat, then you should choose
either a good power boat, or a good sailing boat.


I used to be a power boater, and now I have a sailing vessel.


The big difference between the two is that Sailing involves the whole
crew/family. Power boating is a pastime that provides pleasure for the
driver ( the rest of the crew will want to reach their destination as
quickly as possible).
