Hmmm think of it this way.
Your car is inspected to make sure it's safe and that you are capable
of driving it
this has cut road deaths and trauma.

In today's Politically Correct climate it has become possible to commit the
perfect murder.

All you have to do, is befreind your victim, and go for a walk with him/her
near a pub. Wait until you see a driver leave the pub looking a bit
"tiddly". As his car approaches you, you just have to push your victim into
his path. When the police arrive, they will breathanalyse the driver and -
Voila! .. they will cease their investigations. .... Case closed! The
drunk driver will get 20 years.

That is the real beauty of politically correct legistlation - you don't need
to look at the cause of a crime any more to keep your crime statistics
looking good.

Young muggers would be honest citizens if old aged pensioners didn't provoke
them by carrying their handbags in public!
