The autor is correct. the world did not know the extent of Hitler's
butchery, but the world (UN) did know the extent of Sadaam's for a long
time and did nothing. i understand the author's disgust with most of the
(un)civilized world that ignored their plight.

Your argument and question is specious because it is based
on twisting the meaning of one man's observations. You can
no more understand the death of millions of Jews than
he can. You can understand your family and friends being
butchered up and if you chose to call it a holocaust then
a holocaust it is and there is no disrespect to other groups
