Edison lake is still there, the township was awarded the dam and had to

I spent the first 13 years of my life in Belleville....grew up on Edison
Lake (mud pond)...Wonder if the old homestead's still there... We used to
play "Keep Away" with the dam by standing on the mud flats in the Huron when
the turbines were turned off and when the bell rang at 2:30 pm the flood
gates were opened...wonder we didn't end up in Lake Erie....
