Maybe you can ask BS what night vision binoculars or monoculars have to do
with sailing?

I hope John is joking. I used a older set of Russian night vision binocs a few
times last summer. Out at Cold Springs Harbor they were very useful as I was
searching for a landmark that couldn't be seen unaided. It also lets you see
moored boats sooner than the unaided eye will, quite nice when entering a field
you don't know. Prior to trying them I had no idea they would be so useful.
But then West Marine and every other sailing resource sells them because they
have nothing to do with sailing, right John?
