Wrong. You're forgetting that over 800,000 Jews were driven out of Arab lands in the late
40's, early 50's. In fact, the number of Jews forcibly evicted (and generally not allowed
to take any significant property or money) from Arab lands exceeded the number of
Palestinian refugees, almost all of which left voluntarily.

Iran and Iraq, for instance, had major Jewish communities, going back 2500 years. At one
time Baghdad was 20% Jewish. Now, only a handful of Jews live in either country.
Although some of the Jews remained until the 70's,in that period essentially all were
evicted and all property confiscated.

The actual numbers are hard to sort out, because Russia is included as "Europe." Even so,
roughly half if the immigration in the 5 years after independence was from Africa & Asia.
And a large portion of the European immigrants were from Romania, and other Eastern
countries, not from France and Germany.
