What a USCG Master's license is good for?
The first two did. They were so crowded it was just about impossible to do
emails. A small chance at internet web pages and zero for newsgroups. I
sent tons of stuff during those days. Little vignettes of the journey and
so on. Apparently they went South along with everything else including a
good deal of the 'green stuff'. Oh well. No fool like an old fool. Back
to the cell phone hookup. I have the 600 business day and unlimited rest of
the time plan which runs $39.95 plus $19.95 for unlimited internet access.
Probably some other deals like this but a lot of the cell companies have
real bad reputations. The worst I've found so far is Cingular. Had there
insurance plan, lost the phone, two plus months later all I've received is
the same "USED" and "BROKEN" phone twice. You have to spend literally hours
on the phone to get anywhere and then the stillscam you. I've been taping
the conversations though. Once they say they are taping you can do the same
without further question or comment. Right now I've got enough, in the
event any class action stuff starts, to show conspiracy to defraud and a
clear RICO violation. Depending on how many others bothered to keep the
proof. On a similar side off topic issue. The same thing applies when an
airlines knowling overbooks and takes your money only to deny you space on a
flight. US Air and for sure United are prime examples. I had three of the
United employees all admittig they oversold on purpose and as company
policy. Bingo . ..conspiracy to defraud and given the price of the tickets
.. .RICO! All it took was to mention this wasn't a civil violation but a
criminal violation and 'by the way how do you spell your name?" All of
sudden a seat on the flight magically appeared.
Question: If printed US dollars are 'legal tender" how come they can be
refused as payment? (rental car companies, airline ticket counters e.g.)
Just thought I'd ask.
Anyway . . T Mobile so far has done a good job for me so I'm not complaining
especially after those scum suckers at Cingular. Oh yes, you have to buy
the hookup cord separate.
MST
Good day on the water . . . .Plenty of wind and good weather. Now for some
sleep . ..tomorrow is a 14 hour day out to the oil rigs and back.
