Bush Downs Chopper
The really sad part is that it was not necessary. We tried to tell them
but they wouldn't listen. Why am I reminded of the behaviour of
children? Is there any greater love than that of the verbvally abused
parent trying to instill good sane advice into the ears of their children?

But the "war is over" right folks?

Had a mate over for dinner on the weekend, a well regarded news
cameraman.
He's spent a lot of time in Iraq and the Middle East both before and
after the Bush invasion and feels that there is much less regard for
westerners than there ever has been.
He recounted tales of US soldiers throwing people to the ground and
holding them at gunpoint with a foot on their neck, believes that the
US soldiers are scared ****less over there with good reason NOW after
the way they've been treating the Iraqi people.
Contends that the threat to soldiers was less during the war than it
is now.
He just shook his head when recounting a tale of a car that didn't
slow down fast enough for the soldiers at a checkpoint and was shot to
pieces with its occupants and anyone else in the vicinity. Claims that
he has seen hundreds of dead Iraqi civilians after the invasion and
wonders when the US and Allies will start to count the actual human
cost instead of counting only US soldiers lost.
