Fairies? Yeah, there were bound to be a good percentage in the
audience just as there is at a Bette Midler concert ;-)

C'mon, Oz. Get real!

I was dragged to a ballet performance a few months ago. Those male dancers
made me think that the saddest words that a man could hear from his son,
would be - "Dad, I want to become a ballet dancer."

Hmmm, there are some gays in every troupe, lesbians too.
But most of the guys are straight, charming and built like Adonis.
We have many friends from the ballet, most of the retired men are
married.

But fact is the rigorous training, practice and diet didn't allow much
time to get out and enjoy life IOW the passion had waned after over 30
years of a life devoted to dance.

Oh and Holly....she's now a senior executive in the largest
international company in its field, and dances for fun and to keep
fit.

Hmmm. It seems that female ballet dancers can do very well in a male
dominated environment..... just as the male ballet dancers seem to display
certain female characteristics. Odd?

Nope, not odd at all. It's the discipline and work ethic that drives
them in their careers.
If by " certain female characteristics " you mean, soft spoken,
intelligent,witty and graceful....yep, you'd be correct
