Actually, I tested the 54's against far more expensive brands and they
gave a
good accounting of themselves. Design flaws in the case cover (at the
time)
were their main detraction. With today's inexpensive, but excellent
Fujinon's,
the Tasco's seem less of a bargain.
Overall the 54's are fine and I doubt anyone bought a pair with compass
for
kids to play with.

You don't know jack about binos. Tascos are junk. Drop them once,
and they become worthless. They're good when brand new, but after a
few weeks, junk. You buy cheap binos, you get cheap binos.

You'd be impressed with my Steiners. Automatic focus, built in
compass, nitrogen filled. Guaranteed for life.
