Default BTW, Great Day on the Bay

You might have missed your chance with last weekend. I hope I'm wrong
though. Weather is supposed to be cool but dry. Not sure of the winds
though. Might just hop to Kelleys.

The boating weather was perfect last weekend! Saturday I filled the
petrol tanks, and got the boat up to PIB Saturday by 11:30am. Tied up at
the PIBYC, and sat out in the sun with shorts sipping cervezas. Around
5pm I showered up and headed into town for the PIB Octoberfest in town
(they keep creating these events to extend the season, and I keep coming
up).

My dad was supposed to bring his boat up, but he chickened out. At his
age, single handling, I really think he should be considering a smaller
boat, instead of his current boat which is fast becomming a dockflower.
Did manage to convince a buddy to drop everything and bring his boat up,
kids and all. I went back to the yacht club and helped them tie up. We
took the kids into town for Frosty's pizza. Then hung around the boats
until the kids fell asleep, then
went back and plundered the town retiring to our boats at about 5am.

Woke up at 9am to howling winds that blew a nasty storm right over us to
the mainland. Ate breakfast and took the dog and kids for a walk into
town. Helped the Club put away a few things (If I go back up there, it's
free dockage!!!), then laid down for a nap. By 2:30pm we pulled out under
sunny skies, with mild winds and the lake was FLAT. Even my dog, who
likes the destinations, but hates traveling by boat, was relaxed. I
should have stayed up ONE more day.

Not meaning to steer a thread back on topic, but did you happen head out
on the lake last Saturday, Wally? With the weather we had versus the
weather were having, I sure hope so.

Hi Bob,

I went to the boat, but didn't go out. I'll be there this weekend and
hope for a break in the winds.

Today sure sucks, but I'm hopeful for a break in the weather.
