Mom always made us soft boiled eggs on toast when we were sick. We call
'over easy' , dippy eggs, cause you dip your toast in em.

Next time ask for a soft-boiled or poached egg...they'll look at you even
stranger...I grew up on soft-boiled eggs and toast..the kind you use the egg
cup for...my granddaughters were going through some of my stuff and came
across some egg cups in the bottom of the buffet...they wondered what kind
of wine you drink out of such funny thick little glasses....they wouldn't
touch the soft-boiled eggs when I made them...
