No need for wax, Vaseline, or other messy means. Put the eggs in egg
cartons and turn them over every other day. The albumin in the egg keeps
the inside of the egg naturally coated to prevent air from penetrating
the egg shell and allowing the egg to spoil. You can keep eggs 4-6 weeks
with this method. It is best to use eggs that have not been refrigerated.

You must start with eggs that have never been refrigerated. Coat them
with wax.
