There have been three polls on twa 800. The initial poll was
conducted by Aviation Week a few months after the shootdown. One
third still believed the NTSB/mechanical idea. Then a TV poll came
out by a NYTimes owned PA station that reported one in five accepted
the NTSB finding. The last poll was done by WorldNetDaily as an
unannounced daily poll subject - 100 of 5962 still believed the NTSB.

All very impressive. Perhaps you can elaborate on the relevance of a
poll of public opinion compared to scientific investigation ?
Apparently there was once a strongly held view that the earth was
flat.
