Default Hull form for the sound barrier!

Has anyone noticed that if you took two Coronado 27's, cut off the topsides
and glued the hulls together at the waterline, it would exactly duplicate
the Bell X-1 experimental rocket plane?

That's right! The BELL X-1, designed to go beyond the sound barrier! That's
because the Coronado 27 is designed to go beyond the conventional hull speed
barrier. The keel won't stall at any speed and is efficient in the most
turbulent of regimes! There's no buildup of pressure waves on that hull
form, it will slice through the water with the utmost of efficiency at any
speed - and that's no bilge!

Here's to the Chuck Yaeger of sailing - Simple Simon! Yes, it's true that
the Johnson Space Center is currently designing a new rocket plane based
upon the modifications that Captain Neal has performed on his Coronado 27.
Why if Captain Neal didn't have pressing sailing engagements, he'd fly the
prototype rocket plane himself. Don't believe me? Then go check the pics of
Cappy's fine blue water cruiser when it was on the hard and you'll see for
yourself.
