Compasses are legal in the laser class. I don't know about GPS's. LAYLINE
(www.layline.com) has several legal mounts.

Subject: Laser compass

I'm relatively new to Laser sailboat racing. Is it legal to use a
compass in Laser sailboat race? What about a GPS receiver?
