I'm debating hauling out. My location is probobly the best hurricane
hole in NY short of hauling. My only concern is the surge. The
pilings are rotted and scheduled for replacement Sept 23rd. Great
timing, eh?

You could bring your boat down my way and put her on a mooring, perhaps even in
Oyster bay? More likely than not she'd be fine. I've seen some bad stuff at my
club, but no boat has ever been damaged in recent memory, unless the thimbles
failed! I'm pretty protected in there. Still, I may opt for a mooring.
