I just bought a Pirate 2 weeks ago.....for a party we were having on an
Island......We flew it so pop, mom and the kids would not land on the
beach......as it's popular
It worked really well...boats would see the flag and pass by.......Knowing
that there was a serious party going on.....
By the way a good pirate flag we set you back $45 bucks Canadian.....
I would fly it anywhere on my boat....... as everyone knows it's just a
joke.....
But I'm sure some people would find it offensive if you flew it from the
stern pole.....

Getting conflicting information on the correct etiquette regarding
location.
I'd have thought that the masthead would be the best place, since it can
be
most readily seen.
... It's perfectly legal if you have a parrot.
When your boat's called 'Hispaniola', the flag's a requirement. That said,
I
don't what the thinking is behind those owl-shaped seagull scarers - you'd
think the makers would have the gumption and imagination to make them
parrot-shaped...
