Nothing worse than a Coast Guard Reservist with a light duty
chit.....Untill, he saves your life. When I was In the Navy, I didn't have
to put up with Drunks, Illegal Aliens, Smugglers, Speeders violating No Wake
Laws, and an endless supply of dumbass civies runnin out of gas!......They
actually have a tougher job than I had as a Sonar Tech aboard a
Destroyer..............They have my profound respect and admiration.

figured that sooner or later the south wind would get me back to the Texas
coast... Eventually, a Coastie happened by and gave me a tow back to
shore... I took back nearly all the things I said about them when I was in

It was kind of interesting to see how my boat handled being towed... Since
it was a jet boat, there wasn't an outboard acting as a rudder, so the
boat
kind of wandered back and forth between the two sides of the wake of their
boat...
