The Final Blow
As promised...info from a reputable source that shows Billy Jane, Mooron and
Donal for the fools they are. Remember, we entered Port Jeff for the first time
ever late at night. We had our charts. We had GPS and we had radar.
We also had the following info from: The Cruising Guide to the New England
Coast: Norton Books publisher.
"In approaching Port Jefferson from any direction, it is wise to keep offshore
and watch the chart carefully, as there are outlying rocks and shouls. The
entrance is narrow and there is apt to be a strong tidal current in or out. An
experienced cruising man warns that:
Sometimes a really dangerous sea makes up outside and between the jetties on
the ebb tide. Entering is possible at all times, providing some care is taken.
Another experienced cruiser feels this is too strong a statement. Suffice it to
say, treat it with respect."
Seems like we practiced safe navigational practice by observing this info.
Tada!!!! So, as you can see, Billy Jane knows nada! Mooron hitched his tow rope
to the wrong star and Donal got dragged down by the undertow!
You're welcome!!! Bwahahahahahahahahahahaaha!!
