Also getting
the boats
in storage for the winter was costly. Glad I don't have to worry about =
that
In actuality, the cost of wintering a boat in outside storage plus the =
cost of a slip in season is about exactly equal to the overall cost of =
keeping a boat in a slip all season in the south, plus annual haulout to =
unchink the cruddies that have decided to bore into the bottom of your =
boat...plus the added expenses of sun exposure on canvas, much more time =
and effort spent on keeping wood scrubbed and oiled or bright...and then =
there's the expense of finding somewhere to go when there's a =
hurricane...or the salvage cost of getting it off the beach or wherever =
it winds up because you can't or won't sail it into the face of a storm =
to avoid damage.....
