Default north chesapeake cruising?

You will have no problems, it is really easy to navigate there. Basically
you cannot get lost. You can get up to Baltimore and down near Annapolis
there are a few marinas to tie up to. There is a state park right on the
west side of the Chesapeake Bridge. They allowed my friend to hook up there
one night but one night only, n/c. In Annapolis you will find balls or hook
ups everywhere. Just watch out for the crab floats everywhere. I heard
somewhere you were allowed to empty out three traps per day for yourself for
personal eating. I don't know if that is accurate but everyone I talked to
there said the same thing, no one will bother you if you only empty out no
more than 3 or 4 traps. What a nice area, fishing was not so great but the
crabbing is good. Bring a big steal pot and lots of butter.

You do have
charts for this trip, right? And know how to use them?

Yes Wayne, I did purchase a set of charts last year at the boat show. I
traveled by car for that show. To be quite honest though this will be the
first time I have needed to boat by charts. Because nearly all of my

boating
experience has been lake boating, and very deep lakes at that, where there
really is no concern of running aground, or needing to stay within a

channel.
I do have a GPS unit, and am fairly competent in its use. As long as the
weather is nice, and I take it slow and easy, I hope to be okay.
