Default Dream Boat?

Well, I'm actually past the pumps, so my being there doesn't prevent folks from filling.
But when I'm gone, they have an extra 50 feet to stash boats. The real hectic time is 6AM
when the fishing crowd is topping off.

I try to be philosophical when I come back, since I never know what obstacles there will
be. The best was when I had to squeeze between the boat the city's special ops chief
lives in, while he was having a staff meeting onboard, and the State Police's new $250,000
interceptor (it can be dropped from a helicopter and do 50 knots in a 6 foot chop) - I
stuck it so good they were convinced I had thrusters!

I guess that would work as long as you're not there a lot. Might get
pretty busy and noisy.

The fuel dock, actually. It works out for both of us, since we're gone a

lot.

Storage for a cat is a problem, but as a transient at a lot of places,

we've only been
charged a minor surcharge a few times.

How is that they don't charge you for a double slip? Are you on
an end tie?

So which boat do you think gives more performance and space and

quality
for the money (new
boats please)? She can be single handed up to 12-13 knots with only

540
feet of plain
sail. She has three state rooms, the saloon seats 8 for dinner. 6'3"
headroom
throughout. The cockpit is huge and dry, and you can play volleyball

on
the bow. And I
only pay for a 36 footer in the yard!

And the new centerboard version looks like it screams upwind!

I already did - a PDQ 36 Capella. Still no regrets; still my first
choice.

Wouldn't you like just a bit more room and performance?
250K's the limit though/
