(1996) Long shaft. I've got the nuts off all the bolts, it drops off
about
1" and won't go any further, Totally not like the Merc I had.



If it is anything like my 115 Johnson, there is a screw, under the carbs,
for the shift linkage. Remove the screw and the lower will fall off.
