Our kitchen remodel included some plumbing work. Since I had hired a contractor for the job (a total rip-out down to sheetrock), a plumber was involved. He used sharkbite connectors to join PEX to the existing PVC.Why not just extend the existing (C)PVC to the place you need it. Justbe sure to use the brass drop ear flanges and brass shut off valves. Surely a plumber could handle pasting together that pipe.
