Guess which statement came from Biden and which came from Trump:

"Congratulations to NASA and SpaceX on today's launch. It's a testament
to the power of science and what we can accomplish by harnessing our
innovation, ingenuity, and determination. I join all Americans and the
people of Japan in wishing the astronauts Godspeed on their journey."

or:

"A great launch! @NASA was a closed up disaster when we took over. Now
it is again the "hottest," most advanced space center in the world, by far."

They are both full of ****.
NASA was saved by private industry.
The last decent man rated vehicle that came out of them was during the
Nixon administration. Carter's stupid Space Truck was the black hole
for throwing good money after bad into, that sunk them.
We are still stuck with the reality that 40% of every shuttle that
made it to low earth orbit, crashed with the loss of all hands and
they did not have a replacement. They made five, one blew up, one
burned up.
Compare that to the 737 MAX. There were 387 flying, 2 crashed
partially from pilot error and they condemned the whole fleet.

Ah, yes, I fondly remember all the fabulous contributions of
libertarians to the commonweal. Why, there was...and let's not forget...

What the **** you blabbering about? Your statement has zero, zip, nada to
do with the thread.

Oh, I was commenting on Fretwell once again crapping out the libertarian
creed, that government can't do anything. My counter to that is that
libertarians have never done anything. They can't even get elected
dogcatcher.

Still not relevant. What has government done better? Well, the previous 4
Presidents got us in to new wars. That seems to be a job they do better
than private enterprise. Even with the onerous regulations private
industry has to be under, they actually create jobs. Did the NIH come up
with Covid-19 vaccines?
