The responsible networks are saying that if the current trends continue,
Biden will have a minimum of 270 electoral college votes. This, before
Georgia, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania are assigned to either candidate.
Assumptions are that the following states end up in Biden's column:
Nevada, Arizona, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and one EC vote from
Nebraska.
The Dems still think they have a chance in Georgia, are shaky about
North Carolina, and Pennsylvania is still up in the air. But Trump could
carry all three and still come up short in the EC.
If Biden ends up with Georgia and the current trends work out for him,
he'll have 286 EC votes. Pennsylvania's 20 EC votes might end up in his
column, too.
Fascinating.
I am still confident my $5 is safe about him not jumping off the Trump
tower but I wouldn't be shocked if he resigned before 1/20/20 so Pence
could pardon him. Pence is a lame duck too so he really has nothing to
lose.
That would be the scenario where the escape in the Trump helicopter
late at night might really be likely. He could have Pence deliver his
resignation to Nancy the next morning and get sworn in.
I wonder what the minimum time is that you have to be president before
you get the retirement package? I don't think it is specified.
I've had a similar dream about how Trump leaves *if* he loses. Other
parts of my "nightmare" dream:
If Trump loses, will he give the nation a gentlemanly concession speech?
Will he welcome the Bidens to the White House?
Will Trump attend the swearing in ceremony?
What horrors will Trump commit via Exec Actions to further **** up the
country?
On the other hand, hopefully if Trump goes, we might not hear again from
the adult sons, Beavis and Butthead, or Jared Cushy, or PillowTits
Ivanka, and Melanoma will be free to divorce the Donald or put hemlock
in his milkshakes.
Kinda looks like Biden will carry Pennsylvania, and that will put him
over the top in the EC, regardless of what happens in Arizona, Nevada,
or Georgia.
