I was talking about owning one, of course. For chartering
I suppose anything goes if one is more interested in fraternity
than sailing.

Depends on what you want it for. I chartered one in the BVI just a few
weeks ago: 4 couples including several folks with little to no sailing
experience. Everyone had fun, including me. Reasonable (not great)
sailing characteristics (upwind performance is not what you will get
with a good monohull), lots of room, good amount of water tankage.
Mostly sailed at 8ish knots in 20-25 knot air, although I hit 10 knots
on one really great reach. Twin engines meant being able to hold the
boat nearly anywhere while less than lightning speed crew dealt with
anchor, mooring, or docking duty.

Further, I had one fellow who has a breathing machine to cope with sleep
apnea -- easily installed a 12v circuit to support his needs. He's now
signed up for Offshore Sailing School and is boat shopping. Also had a
lady with MS who is accordingly very temperature sensitive --
generator-powered A/C (that we only needed on three of nine nights)
meant that she and her husband could join us for what was quite
literally the vacation of a lifetime for her.

I wouldn't buy one, but it was a great charter boat for us.
