The emphasis being placed on testing is good, I guess
but I don't really get it.

It seems like all it really does is lowers the reported
"percentage of deaths" number as a mathematical statistic
that gives a false sense of security to the public.

It is certainly not having any effect on the continued
spread of the virus.

I think it also may give people a false sense of
security and may even exasperate the situation by
having them think that just because they don't have
it now,Â* it is safe to ignore many of the precautions
to avoid crowds or close contact with others.

You don't think enumerating and locating are important?

Not really. As Fauci said, "just assume you have it".
Your protocols should be the same and there is no real cure other than
time and a little luck.
A better test would be antibodies for those who got over it and are
now assumed to be immune, at least for this strain. That is the only
thing that might make me relax a little but I don't want to get the
garden variety flu either. I may just keep this regimen of scrubbing
up every time I leave a place.
