Kansas Crude closed out at $9.70 a barrel which is about give-away status. Gas is dropping at an accelerated rate. Don’t know how low it can go . I wonder what diesel is going and if it’s about time to fill the trawler?

Prices are dropping rapidly, but just like the stock market, I have no
idea where the bottom is. I'm a bit reluctant to top off the tanks at
this point because all of our cruising plans for the year are up in
the air. On the other hand I'd like to have enough fuel to do a
getaway if the things start to get really out of control. Chances of
that happening are hopefully remote but can't be completely ruled out.

Heh. I've thought a couple of times of telling Mrs.E to "pack your
bags, we are getting the hell out of here."

Then I face reality. Where the hell would we go and how the hell
would we get there? :-)

We've basically gone into self-quarantine mode. She goes nowhere.
I make occasional trips to a convenience store or the grocery store.

Many of the supermarkets have announced "senior hours". The
benefit is the hours are very early ... 5:30am-7am after the
store has been cleaned overnight and restocked.

I went this morning at 5:40am. Was able to get essentials like
toilet paper and some fresh meats to freeze plus vegetables, etc.

Some items were limited in quantity or not available.

The store I went to {Market Basket) has one very long isle usually
filled with bread of all types. This morning it was about 80%
empty.
