I think the complaints about the lack of Test Kits
in the USA is a lot of noise but may not be as
meaningful as it would seem.

We are reminded daily that South Korea produced kits
and tests 20,000 people *daily*.

Yet, South Korea has 7,979 confirmed cases of coronavirus
(and still rising) in a population of 51.5 million.

The USA with a shortage of kits is only testing 200-300
people a day.Â* Yet, with a population over 6 times that
of South Korea, the USA has about 1,600 confirmed cases.

How is the availability of test kits helping South Korea?

Other factors and initiativesÂ* in the USA seem to be
more successful.

Someone with a science background would know there aren't enough test
kits/results in the USA to determine anything yet.

But I am sure the Trumpsters appreciate your never-ending asskissing.

My question is what do the tests accomplish that following the
recommendations of the medical and scientific community doesn't?

If you have the symptoms (fever, shortness of breath, cough) assume
you have it and self-quarantine.Â* If severe, contact your doctor.

If people did as they are being asked to do, limit exposure to
large groups along with the actions taken by the federal and local
governments, testing everyone really accomplishes nothing.

This is a case of many expecting government to solve a problem
that people ... if they are willing to sacrifice a bit ... can
solve themselves.

The problem is going to be those people who are infected for 3 days
before the first symptoms arrive or those who have such mild symptoms
that they just think they should step away from the bong for a few
days.
China just locked everyone up, symptoms or not and got results but
they have to let them out some day. I just wonder how many bodies are
behind those locked doors. I doubt we will ever know the truth tho.
I do predict that someone will be coming out with a story that is far
different than the official communist party line.

If people follow the recommendations and guidelines the CDC is drilling
into our heads daily ... regardless of if you have the virus or not ...
eventually the virus will burn out.

It may sound like draconian measures for some but it's going to require
the cooperation of everyone, for the good of everyone to get through
this.

Testing may give some people peace of mind that they *don't* have it
but they are still going to have to semi-isolate themselves and
take precautions to prevent getting it.

If you've noticed the "talk" in the last couple of days, the
emphasis on "testing everyone" is starting to fade.Â* It's being
replaced with more talk of taking a degree of self responsibility,
along with the actions of Trump, the Fed and local governments.

Good grief, man, you might consider detaching yourself from Trump's ass
and leaving that space to Pence.

I got a kick yesterday watching Jabba the Trump shaking the hands of all
those magnates of industry and retail and giving them the chance to say
something unctuous. Have to wonder how many of them had been exposed to
the virus and how many of them were additionally exposed at that
presentation.

You have a chance to see Maher last night on cruise ships? Perfect:
