My Lazy pistol

Today, I placed my Sig Sauer 9mm seme-automatic pistol on the table right next to my kitchen door.
I left its full magazine beside it, then left it alone and went about my business.

While I was gone, the mailman delivered my mail, the next door neighbor mowed his yard, a girl
walked her dog down the street, and quite a few cars stopped at the "stop" sign near the front of my
house.

After about an hour, I checked on the gun. It was quietly sitting there, right where I had left it.
It had not moved itself outside. It had not killed anyone, even with the numerous opportunities it
was presented to do that. In fact, it had not even loaded itself.

Well you can imagine my surprise, with all the hype by the Democrats and their propaganda media,
about how dangerous guns are, and how "They” kill people. Either the media is wrong, or I'm in
possession of the laziest gun in the world.

The United States is 3rd in murders throughout the world. But if you take out just 5 'left-wing'
cities: Chicago, Detroit, Washington DC, St Louis and New Orleans, the United States is 4th from the
bottom, in the in the ENTIRE world! These 5 cities are controlled by Democrats. They also have the
toughest gun control laws in the USA.

It would be absurd to draw any conclusions from this data, right?

Well, I'm off to check on my spoons. I hear they're making people fat!

[Note that I've not checked the stats, and this was sent to me.]

Bear in mind most of these murders are violence surrounding the drug
trade and that is based on smuggling, selling and possessing a
universally banned product. How is a ban going to stop these people.
It would actually make more sense to legalize the drugs. When was the
last time you heard about bootleggers having a shootout in the streets
of Chicago?

I agree. Make them legal and make them cheap. Let people over 21
take all they want, just like alchohol, and the problem will take care
of itself. A lot of lives would be wrecked but that is happening now.

That solution is too simple of course, and will outrage those who want
to take the moral high ground, not to mention all of the law
enforcement folks who make a living with it. Some interesting
questions would be raised. What would all of the unemployed drug
dealers do to make a living? Would they just become users and fade
away, or would they look for some other way to make a quick buck?
