Okay... I thought you were pulling our collective leg here.... it's obvious
why you prefer a slip at the dock. Once you hook the ball you pull it up to
the deck and tie on with a mooring painter to each cleat at the bow. If you
have a regular mooring you fit it with two 15 ft floating mooring painters
about 3/4" dia. It's much easier to "hook" the painters and secure than
yanking the ball up to the boat each time.

Yes Horvath... I've seen people moor stern to... it's cute and sets your
place in the pecking order of sailors.
